Entries are set to open soon for the first ever Edinburgh Open.
Pickleball Scotland are running the inaugural tournament at the start of October and registration will begin on 6th July, for two age groups, 18+ and 50+, with categories 3.5+ and 4.0+ in each.
There will also be mixed and gender doubles competitions across the 12-court set-up at Meadowbank Sports Centre.
The hope is to attract a wide field of players from across the UK and beyond.
“We are keen to offer more competitions in Scotland in particular with opportunities for 3.5 and above open play,” says Pickleball Scotland chair Mhairi Adam.
“We hope this gives local players challenging games against some of the best from within and outwith Scotland. Who wouldn’t want a couple of days in Edinburgh?”
