Pickleball added to 2025 Maccabiah Games

Pickleball will be featured for the first time ever at the 2025 Maccabiah Games, taking place from 8th to 22nd July in Israel, across several cities, including Haifa, Jerusalem, Netanya, and Tel Aviv.

Seymour Rifkind, President of the World Pickleball Federation (WPF), has been credited for much of the legwork in securing pickleball’s spot at the mega-event – which some are seeing as a step along the road to inclusion in the roster for the Olympic Games.

Ten nations will compete at the 2025 Games, including Great Britain, with a squad brought together by Mark Feldman and coached by Nick Pomery, with Mollie Knaggs a recent addition as performance coach. Each of the players are paying their own way to compete; the team has benefited from the sponsorship of Six Zero, providing paddles, hats, and shirts to kit them out.
