Pickleball England have confirmed that they now have over 19,000 members.
In a social media statement, however, they indicated that they are intending to grow even more.
“The growth of pickleball in England continues at an incredible pace,” the post read. “The latest Sport England Active Lives Survey estimated there were 74,800 pickleball players in England last November, and we believe that number is now closer to 80,000 players.
“That means there are thousands more people enjoying our amazing sport every week who have yet to join the Pickleball England community.”
It comes two months before August’s English OPEN at a new, bigger venue of the NEC in Birmingham.
