Spain win gold at European Championships

Defending champions England finished second at the 2025 European Pickleball Championships – beaten to the top spot by Spain.

Hosts Italy took bronze in the tournament hosted at the famous Foro Italico.

England finished with two gold medals and two silver.

Day 1 was hugely successful for England, crowned by James Chaudry winning gold in the men’s open singles.

And England’s senior women enjoyed great success over the weekend, with the women’s doubles team topping the podium, and Anna Linton gaining silver in the singles.

The women’s open team also grabbed a silver medal in doubles, losing the final to Spain 11-7, 11-8.

Spain, however, won an amazing four golds and three silvers.

And one notable personal achievement came from Spain’s Marcello Jardim, who enjoyed such success recently at the English OPEN, and won the triple crown in Rome.
