Anglesey Pickleball Club founder member and director of Pickleball Wales Kath Knowles headed to London last week as a guest at a Buckingham Palace royal garden party.
With the Prince and Princess of Wales, the Duchess of Edinburgh, and Zara Tindall all in attendance, Kath joined others from all round the UK, recognised for contributing to their communities.
She told Pickleball 52 that it was a “surreal and truly wonderful” day, and “special…in every sense.”

When she received the invitation earlier this year, Paul Byron, chair of Pickleball Wales, said: ”I’m absolutely delighted for Kath that she is being recognised for all her hard work, commitment and absolute dedication to the sport of pickleball.”
