What is your personal pickleball highlight of 2025?

We asked some of our pickleball friends to choose their favourite moments of the year.

Thaddea Lock: Being able to travel to new countries to play pickleball – I got to go out to Australia and New Zealand to play MLP which was an amazing experience and got to go to Dubai for the first time for a tournament which is somewhere I’ve been wanting to go for a while!

Lou Stephens: Being Head of Volunteers at Nationals. It was the best one yet.

Julie Mac: Definitely being Team Captain of Team Scan and winning the inaugural PPL Masters Final in April 2025.

Millie Smythe: My MLP team in Australia making the finals and getting second. We were struggling all season, we hadn’t really gelled as a team on court even though we were all good players, and we were fifth in the table going into finals weekend. We managed to beat some really good teams, make it all the way to the end, and get second place overall.

Jack Munro: My APP win record without question. I only dropped two men’s doubles matches all year and set the longest consecutive men’s doubles win streak in APP history. That is something I never imagined achieving and it still feels surreal. Crazy work and crazy growth.

Abby Fung: A silver medal at the Nationals.

Nathan Hill: Playing for England in Rome in the European Championships.

Harry Feast: Winning the Welsh Open with Nathan Parker, or getting picked again for the PPL Challenger League – both good feelings.

Domenika Turkovic: I got the opportunity to visit England for the first time and play English open. I won singles gold medal by beating one of the best players out there so I’m never going to forget that experience!

Nathan Parker: Some tough contenders for this but being a proud Welshman, winning the inaugural Welsh Open in the open category with Harry Feast and representing Wales for the second time at the European championships leaves a real Sophie’s choice but nevertheless “Yma o hyd”.

Natasha-Lara Hood: Every single time I’ve hit Rhodri Oliver is a massive win for me.

Anna Linton: Definitely playing in Rome with the team, in that stadium, and the atmosphere with all the other countries. Just the whole experience was amazing.

Rhodri Oliver: Having a great year of competitions with my doubles partners from Cardiff to Poland – extremely enjoyable!

Flynn Crosthwaite: Getting gold at the Basingstoke Championships…with Jack Macgregor. [This is a running theme – check out his response to what he wants for Christmas!]
