Two young players are celebrating after winning the junior 3.5 doubles at the English Nationals last weekend.
Theo Malbois and Thomas Eyre took gold – and Thomas tells Pickleball 52 that he was “over the moon”.
“I just remember me and Theo jumping for joy when we won gold,” he said via email.
“I felt quite nervous at first but once me and Theo had begun to play we had the time of our lives.
“It was a tough day for everyone and I am just so happy and grateful that I got to play with some incredible players.”
Theo – who has played 4.0 doubles with dad Sebastien recently – added: “This was my best tournament ever, maybe because i was able to start playing with my junior friends from Friday onwards!”
Theo and Thomas beat James Devlin and Ben Short in the final, 11-4, 11-3.
